Ielts Exam:

In IELTS, there are four papers: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The Speaking and Listening tests are the same in both modules, but the Reading and Writing tests are different. The IELTS test is conducted for 2 hours and 45 minutes and at two different times. Students receive bands in the exam, and in IELTS 7 bands are considered to be a good grade, however there is nothing like pass or fail. In all the English speaking countries, 7 bands are easily acceptable.

Ielts Academic:

1. Listening Paper: 4 parts (40 Questions): 30 Mins : 0-9 Score

The paper has four parts, with ten questions in each part. Parts 1 and 2 deal with everyday, social situations. Parts 3 and 4 deal with educational and training situations. There is a total number of 40 questions and Time of approx. 30 mins is allowed to the students.

2. Writing Paper: 2 Questions: 60 mins: 0-9 bands

There are two Writing tasks. In Task 1, you have to describe some visual information in your own words (a graph, table, chart or diagram). You need to write at least 150 words in about 20 minutes. In Task 2, you are given a point of view, argument or problem which you need to discuss. You need to write at least 250 words in about 40 minutes. Students must write answers using full sentences and no answer shall be written in bullet points.

3. Reading Paper: 40 Questions: 60 mins: 0-9 bands

Texts come from books, journals, magazines, newspapers and online resources, written for a non-specialist audience. You will need to transfer your answers to an answer sheet. You must transfer your answers during the hour you are given for the Reading test. There are 40 questions which are divided into 3 sections.

4. Speaking Test: 3 parts: 11-14 mins: 0-9 bands

The Speaking test is a face-to-face interview between the candidate and an examiner. The Speaking test is recorded.There are three parts to the test, and each part follows a specific pattern of tasks in order to test your speaking ability in different ways.

Also students can reschedule the test if more than five weeks are left from your already booked test date without having to pay anything extra. Along with that an administrative charge of INR 3,300 inclusive of all taxes has to be paid for the rescheduling. Students must make sure that the new test date is within the 3 months of the previous test date. In case the student fails to show up on the day of the test, no refund is given and is considered as cancellation of the exam.

Eligibility for Ielts Exam:
