What is tuition assurance?

Regarding the tuition protection scheme, international students are covered by our membership. The international students whose education providers are unable to fully deliver their course of study, the main initiative of the Australian Government is to assist them. TPS ensures that international students complete their studies in another course or with another education provider or receive a refund of their unspent tuition fees.

According to the international student visa, you are not allowed to enroll in more than a third or 33 percent of online subjects over your course. In every trimester must study at least one subject that is the face- to-face. For online mode of delivery, all face- to- face courses are also available.

It's important that international students meet all the student visa requirements and follow all specific rules.

A single student budget of AS$21,041 per year is recommended by the Australian Government, with an additional $7,362 per year for a spouse and $3,152 per year, per child. To pay all costs of studying in Australia it's important to have significant funds. The cost of living in Australia includes tuition fees, living expenses, return airfares, and visa fees.

For both domestic and international students we have a limited number of scholarships available. The scholarships are based on merit and the strength of the research proposal. While your course is in session student visas allow you to work for up to 40 hours per fortnight. Students working in Australia have basic rights and protections in the workplace which include minimum pay and conditions.
