The University of Chichester has not been ranked by any major international university rankings organization. It is still a relatively new university, having only been founded in 2005. However, it has received recognition from the UK government for its commitment to teaching excellence and student success. 

In 2018, the university was awarded a silver rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). This is the highest rating awarded to any university in the south of England. Additionally, Chichester has achieved a gold rating in the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF). 

In terms of postgraduate research, the university has also achieved positive recognition. In the Research Excellence Framework (REF), the university achieved an overall 4* (world-leading) rating in the research environment. In terms of student satisfaction, the university has achieved very positive results. 

In the National Student Survey (NSS), the university achieved an overall satisfaction score of 88%, the highest score of any university in the South East of England. The University of Chichester has also been highly rated for its employability prospects. 

The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Employer Reputation ranks the university as the 17th best university in the UK for employer reputation.
