Admission Process

The University of Law accepts applications from both UK and international students. Each application is carefully considered on its own merits, and the entry criteria for each course vary depending on the institution and the course. 

In general, the University of Law looks for applicants who have achieved at least a 2:1 degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field. Those with a lower degree may be considered if they can demonstrate outstanding ability and commitment to the course. 

The University of Law also expects applicants to have a good command of English and to undertake an admission test pre-entry. In some cases, applicants may also be asked to attend an interview. 

In order to be considered for entry to the University of Law, Nottingham, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

1. Hold a valid passport from a recognized country 
2. Have achieved the minimum academic qualifications required for entry onto the course of their choice. These vary depending on the course, for example for an LLB degree, the minimum requirements are typically two A-levels at grades AAB or equivalent. 
3. Have achieved a satisfactory score in an approved English language test if applicable. 
4. Have sufficient funds to cover tuition fees and living costs in the UK, if applicable. 
5. Have no adverse immigration history. 
6. Have a valid UK visa, if applicable. 
7. Have a valid UK Biometric Residence Permit, if applicable. 
8. Be able to demonstrate that they have the right to study in the UK. 
9. Meet any additional requirements specified by the University of Law, Nottingham.

• Be able to demonstrate the ability to study at a higher level 
• Have achieved a total score of 5.5 in the IELTS (or equivalent) language test 
• Have the necessary funding to cover tuition and living costs for the duration of your studies 
• The entry requirements for the University of Law, Nottingham (England) vary depending on the course of study you are applying for. Generally, you will need to have achieved a minimum of: 
• A-level grades between AAB and BBB • IB Diploma with a minimum of 33 points • BTEC Extended Diploma with DDD • Access to HE Diploma with 45 credits at Level 3, of which 30 credits must be at Distinction.
