The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) is a federal university based in Inverness, Scotland. It was established in 2001 and is the first university in Scotland to be founded in the 21st century. It is a unique partnership of 13 colleges and research institutions, located throughout the Scottish Highlands and Islands and Moray, Aberdeen, and Perth.
