Yerevan State Medical University, Armenia

Located in the capital city of Armenia, Yerevan, the Yerevan State Medical University is a leading medical school in the country. It was established in the year 1920 and comprises of various departments and medical courses.  The university has produced and graduated more than 30,000 doctors till date who are working in many parts of the world. Currently, more than 8000 students are studying in the university fulfilling their dream of becoming a medical graduate and out of them, a high number of students are foreign nationals. In Yerevan State Medical University, the academic year consists of two semesters.

Other than these buildings the university also comprises of 3 fully functioning hospitals namely Heratsi Hospital, Muratsan Hospital and Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery which is operated under the university which are available for patients 24*7 and are also used for the high-quality training of the students. The university has associations with more than 30 affiliated hospitals. The Yerevan State Medical University has working and academic partnerships with many research centres and universities in countries such as USA, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Greece, Belgium, Egypt, Sweden and others. The university also is a member of the number of international organizations such as The International Association of Universities, World Federation of Medical Education, Association of Dental Education in Europe etc.

The hostel service is provided by the university for international students with big and spacious rooms. The rooms are fully furnished and equipped with basic infrastructure. The students are also provided with an option of laundry service. The library of the university has a collection of more than 6 lakh books. The university also has a gym, a sports complex and a swimming pool. The university maintains a multicultural environment and organizes the annual cultural event.
