Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS) is a non profit organization with an aim to produce competent and socially responsible doctors and health care professionals to meet the need of the world. The main aim of KUSMS is into improving the overall health of the Nepal. KUSMS is a result of collaboration of Kathmandu University and Dhulikhel Hospital. It is one of the 7 medical schools of Kathmandu University that run medicine, nursing and allied health care programs. Established in 1994, KUSMS has its main office in the premises of Dhulikhel Hospital. It formally started its MBBS program in 2001 with 43 Nepalese students. KUSMS runs programs in to MBBS, nursing, dental surgery, physiotherapy and some post graduate courses.
