Ahmet Yesevi University is a university in the city of Turkistan in Kazakhstan, named for the twelfth-century Sufi poet Khoja Akhmet Yassawi.
Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University is one of the leading multidisciplinary universities of Kazakhstan. University was established on the basis of the Intergovernmental Agreement between Kazakhstan and Turkey, and has been operating in the educational market services in Kazakhstan since 1991. It is the first joint public universities.
In 2010 University joined the The Magna Charta Universitatum.The university runs undergraduate and graduate/postgraduate programs in the faculty areas as Arts & Humanities, Engineering & IT, Natural Sciences, Economics, Medicine, Law and Social Sciences. The central campus of the University, is situated in Turkestan in South Kazakhstan.
Today, the University has enrolled more than 14,278 students, undergraduates and postgraduate students and more than 1,000 students are from 15 countries of the world.
